Things to do

Hiking

Jud Wiebe

Great hike with views of town. 3 mile loop. Takes around 2 hours total. Begin at top of North Aspen Street and stay left at the bridge. One of our favorite hikes!

Cornet Falls

Easy hike with beautiful views! Only 0.5 miles round trip. Takes less than an hour. Stay straight and do not cross bridge on left. Short but steep hike to the falls.

Bear Creek Falls

Moderate hike, about 5 miles round trip. Starts at the base of S. Pine Street, hike through the woods, up to a the large, spectacular falls.

The River Trail

Easy trail, 1 - 5 miles. The San Miguel River runs along the south/base of town. You can access the trail anywhere in town and either head upstream (to the base of Bridal Veil Falls) or downstream. The trail is fairly flat and open. Its also great for biking or finding small fishing holes along the river.

Bridal Veil Falls Trail

The spectacular Bridal Veil Falls are the tallest free-falling falls in Colorado

Blue Lake

One of our favorites! Moderate - access from the top of Bridal Veil Falls Trail. Approximately 4 hours round trip covering 5.25 miles with an elevation gain of 2,000 feet. This is a spectacular wildflower hike which ends above tree-line at a picturesque lake.

See Forever to Wasatch Connection to Bear Creek

8.5 mile hike, steep up the See Forever trail then flat/downhill with beautiful views. Start at top of gondola (San Sophia Station)

Biking

Rent a mountain bike, electric bike or road bike to explore the trails/town. Highly recommend taking the river trail to Last Dollar road!
